Shirley Chastain Scholarship
Application deadline 31 March 2011
The eligibility criteria for the Shirley Chastain Scholarship are:
1. Membership in Northwest Metro Chapter of
GNA.
2. Pursuing a Masters or Doctoral Degree in Nursing at a recognized university.
All things being equal, those nurses who have been members of District 13 or the Northwest Metro Chapter for more than 5 years will be given preference.

Shirley Chastain was a very active member of GNA and 13th District (now Northwest Metro Chapter) for 40 plus years. She was always involved in the activities of GNA and our local organization. When she died in 2005 it was decided to set up a memorial scholarship in her honor. Shirley was always interested in encouraging students to pursue education in nursing.

Mail a check made out to the Georgia Nurses Foundation, Inc, "for the Shirley Chastain Memorial Scholarship Fund"
The Georgia Nurses Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are deductible.
