The Nurse Advocate Program
The Nurse Advocate Program (NAP) is designed to assist nurses who have problems with addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. In Georgia there is an agreement between GNA and the Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON) that allows nurses to retain a provisional license when they go into a treatment program.
The NMC has an active NAP program. The current lead Advocate is Lance. He can be reached at: 404-317-5513 or gnaadvocate@aol.com
