Chapter Service Area

The Northwest Metro Chapter (NMC) serves nurses in the northwest Atlanta metro area living or working in Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, Douglas, Pickens, and Gilmer counties. NMC is a unit of the North Central Region of the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA). For information about the North Central Region, contact: Susan Prather at susanprather08@comcast.net

The NMC Purpose
The Northwest Metro Chapter works to foster high standards of nursing, to stimulate and encourage professional development, to promote the economic and general welfare of nurses, and to improve health care delivery.

• Quarterly membership meetings with CEUs. ( See May meeting )

• Communications via newsletters and E-mail updates

• Educational CEU workshops

• Scholarships for local nursing students

• Nurse Week recognition activities

• Legislative activities, including breakfasts with local legislators
